I was talking about something just like this the other day with a friend of mine.

A few that would speak for the multitude, so to speak. We would need dues and a elected commitee.

Sounds a hell of a lot like a union though doesnt it. Its a shame its gotten to this.
We can do it. Might not wanna put me in charge of the speaking, cause as everyone who was at the Vicksburg meeting saw, i kinda get pissed and raise hell....

Im all for getting organized. I really dont think MDWFP currently cares about our opinion at all. Room wasnt full at the vickburg meeting but everyone there wanted the same thing. MDWFP did the exact opposite. Quinn, I think we need more folks pissed off raisin hell.

We need to make something like this happen. We need a unified voice. Problem is, and from what I gauged at the Vicksburg meeting, they don't care.[/quote]

They are not going to care when only 15-20 people show up.

Bottom line is at the meeting here in Vicksburg, they didn't give 2 $#!+ about what we said because a decision had already been made. I asked the guy twice, "Am I wasting my breath here, or is this still an ongoing process?" They beat around the bush enough to answer that question.

The only way anyone will care is if we go above the, and take no offense to this MDWFP guys, pawns, and go the the guy making the moves. That's where, if it's possible, we will be heard.

That meeting was a waste of breath and I was told that by a few MFWFP personnel after the meeting, they confirmed my suspicions. It was already decided and they were simply saving face by allowing us to "voice our opinions."

When you've got a weed growing, you don't just cut it down, you kill it at the roots.

That's where we need to go, the root of all the problems is the commission.

Isnt the commission apointed by the Govenor? With a new govenor soon to be elected, is there any way to put a bug in someones ear to oust them? I know for a fact that they read these fourms......or atleast I was told by a close friend that "would know". Maybe he can give us some insight. Probably wasting our time with Phil Bryant, but it sure would be nice to get some people that understand "real hunting issues" in Mississippi than those that are making the decisions.
