Good grief!!! Get out from behind your computer, and go hunting!!! Just because someone has birds, does not mean you do or don't!!

Or continue to live vicariously through those that actually hunt!

Ducks can be anywhere they wanna be.. There may have been a thousand sitting on a field one day, and gone just 30 mins after you see them.. That is why it is called HUNTING, not KILLING.. 1. Go fill up the ol pick em up truck and 2. RIDE.. You see some birds going down somewhere, 3. get you @$$ out and WALK.. If the land is not public or aint yours, repeat steps 2 & 3 until you find something suitable!! Your welcome.. Just that info may cost ya tho.. Need an address to send an invoice your way!

Some of you guy's are getting kinda anal about this aint nothing wrong with the ? ask.I like to hear about duck's being seen moving I live about an hour and a half from where we hunt and with a job I can't just run and see.We hunt when we can and if we have duck's good if not that's just how it is that day but I'll post about it either way cause where we hunt if you aint a member or invited you aint hunting there even if all the duck's in the delta are sitting on it so I don't worry too much about giving out general info.

There's a little common sense to all of this. If you want info on a specific area, near Schlater for example, just post asking for a PM from someone in the area rather than expecting people to put it up in the forum. Next time you need some info, you've hopefully made a friend in the area. Might even be someone you'd buy a beer and share a meal with one day.

I really don't see why anyone should be bent out of shape. No one is restricting access to any information, we're just asking you to put a little effort into getting it and keeping it amongst the people that participate instead of sharing it with the 15,000 lurkers that never contribute.

To who it matters to.. Hunted Friars Point this A.M.. Got there about 15 mins late, had a lot of ducks working while putting out decoys, Killed a greenhead and a susie. Had a lot of opportunities, just couldnt close the deal the way I like to! 2 of us should have limited out!

There ya have it

Gee mudsucker, how do you really feel? You need to come out of your shell. :P

And for the record, I agree with you. It's the first of the season, and this appears to be the first of the "Where are y'all killin' ducks?" threads. So, I'm guessing that people are trying to nip this kind of internet scouting in the bud early. I'm sorry the guy is catching heat for it, but then again we DO remind everyone to keep a thick skin and tall waders on when posting here - 'cause it gets a might deep on occassion.

Look at the bright side, at least our rasberry beret wearing game warden hasn't come on here to say that he drove his Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry. And if this poster would like to meet some good ole boys for drinking whiskey and rye, we can probably accommodate him. 8)
