I was very much pulling for LSU, but am glad to see such a talented team as Stony Brook advance. LSU over achieved this season in my opinion. They won a lot of series with one-run games. Give coach and players credit, they got it done more times than not. Glad to see the fans at LSU give the Stony Brook pitcher a standing ovation as he left the game. Reminded me of MSU giving Mahtook (freshman then I believe) one after a diving catch in Starkville a few years back. Nice when baseball people see good baseball and acknowledge it. Also glad Cotten threw one in the back of the Stony Brook batter after the attempted steal in the ninth with a 5 run lead. Sent a good message.

Got to hand it to the Seawolves coach/program. When he took over in 1991 they were a D3 team.

And it's the equivalent of a 13 seed or lower making the NCAA sweet 16. If I would have heard that guy say that one more time I was gonna drive to the box and kill him myself

I did not think so....it goes both ways, applaud you when you do well but do not rub our noses in it by stealing in the ninth. The umpire even knew what was up. Probably knew the batter had one coming by the looks of it.

Florida State bunted in the 8th inning last night up 9 runs. Now that was bush league. A 5 run lead @ Alex Box isn't a safe situation.

I thought Cotton acted like a punk. He was jawing at the SB player after he picked him off and then he plunked the next batter. Don't know why there is something wrong with trying to score more runs. The game was not out of reach.

I agree 100% should have done it sooner

Main reason is they was way too relaxed up there

The batter knew what was coming..... Everyone there did. But hey jabrowski got what he wanted. He got second base.... Hahah

God forbid someone try to run the score up on LSU. They would never do that to anyone. I thought it was a classless move. I was actually pulling for LSU until that chit. Its baseball, a teams first run at Omaha, and they know as well as every one of yall on here that things can change in a heartbeat and LSU could have got hot and had a run.

It was a common reaction that was expected. It is just a game. I am glad Stony Brook gets their chance. Not a LSU fan but I knew the throw was coming.

I think stealing up 5 runs in that situation was Stoney Brook not rubbing it in, but acknowledging that LSU was still within reach in that stadium. I've seen bigger leads than that blown with only 1 out to go, let alone 3. If the Seawolves were up by 10 runs I would think that it was called for, but not there.

The LSU pitcher didnt accomplish anything by hitting that guy, except for showing that they were out of the game and had thrown in the towel. LSU got everything they deserved this weekend...congratulations to Stoney Brook on a tremendous showing!

I've seen Miss State blow a 6 or 7 run lead with two outs in the 9th inning before. It happens and is just part of the game.

I was there, on the field...up 7 runs in the bottom of the ninth, nobody on base, 2 outs, and 2 strikes on the batter...we lost!
