Yea, that's another point worth noting. Bud/Miller/Coors won't be changing their formulas in MS. Budweiser will still be 5% abv. Bud Light, Miller Lite and Coors Lite will still be 4.2% abv.

Here's a nice video about the whole process. Leslie Henderson specifically mentions that the formulas for their beers won't be changing, although they may base new beers on older formulas (Such as an Imperial Southern Pecan).

I'm planning on bottling a cream ale this weekend... with mowing season cranking up should hit the spot. May brew a chocolate milk stout too.

came home with a BUNCH of tastiness from destin......can't remember half of what i have right now but know there's some Titan ipa, buncho bell's two hearted, a russian stout or three, some hoptonium/hoptimum or some such from sierra nevada, pounds upon glorious pouds of dogfish 90 min, some terrapin hopxecutioner or somesuch, victory hopdevil, some delerium tremens and as much or more that escapes me right now.....

Found 2 six packs in B'ham last night and bought both. Another good one to try is Snake Handler by Good People Brewing Company in Birmingham. Its hot -- 10%, but very good.

snake handler is very good.

Picked up some Chimay the other day and forgot how good that beer is. Nothing like drinking beer brewed in a monestary.

I'm going to have to revisit all of the Chimay beers. They didn't blow me away, but then again there's no telling how long they'd been sitting on the shelf in Delta, LA.

Here's the partial list for the Beer Festival in Jackson next month. Pretty cool, but I just can't justify paying 40 bucks to sample beers that I've already had. Only a few that I haven't tried. Of course, it's just now hitting me that I'll be able to get all of these beers that I used to have to stock up on when I traveled.

the blue label is my favorite, followed by white...didn't care much for the maroon label, was like chimay light (watered down)

They're 3 entirely different beers. The red (Dubbel) definitely is the lightest of the three. It only has 7% alcohol in it.

I'm just not into the esters and yeasty flavored beers but I'm for giving them a second look. I've found I am drinking more wheat beer, but I still can't stand a Hefe. I prefer pale ales, ipas, brown ales, stouts and the like. I love barleywine. Good stuff - big hops and malt.

Last time I was at top of the hops, I had a beer aptly named buffalo sweat.
