From everything I'm reading its Russel outdoors that has mossy oak not Russel athletics.
So you founded Russel outdoors? Then you company signed on with mossy oak? I'm just trying to make sure I understand what your saying. So I can go to my contact possibly at both locations to see if what your saying is true. Possibly Russel outdoors Inc that you say you founded different?

Yes. I founded and own Russell Outdoors, Inc. It was founded in 1992. When Mossy Oak and Russell Athletic got together to form Russell Outdoors they infringed on my trademark, service mark, etc.. How to work that out is under discussion. Things are never as they seem.

Ok. So you had your russel outdoors founded before Russel athlletics or Russel outdoors was made. I knoow they signed mossy oak in 2000.
Just trying to understand it. Just doesnt seem right if you were there first they would use yours same exact name.

Russel athletics founded 1902 Russel outdoors 2001. Russel outdoors doesn't make sense if they got mossy oak in 2000. Then you were in 1992

Since you filed your LLC in 1993 that would help you out. Obviously nobody has registered the trademark "Russell Outdoors" and I hope that you did bring it to their attention as abandoning a trademark could be a costly mistake. Too bad you didn't register, it would have made your position stronger.

Levi, Mr. Russell founded a company he called "Russell Outdoors" before the clothing company came about. He was in the land portion of the hunting business, and they are in the clothing business. But, they both want to use the same name. Because they aren't in direct competition, and most folks aren't likely to be confused between Mr. Russell's business and the Clothing Manufacturer, it MIGHT be okay for them to use the same name. But, since they are both in the hunting industry, there might be some confusion as to association (as you just noted) so it could go either way. If I were a betting man I'd bet the argument is that the Clothing company wants the term all to themselves.

Same show as Monday. The show is live on Mondays (except for holidays, etc). This past Monday was holiday so I recorded last Saturday night, Doug loaded on Monday morning and show broadast n Monday at 10am over 620 Am and www.wjdx.com. That same show will repeat this morning. Nothin' personal, just got tired of rotating thread titles, and the ever-changing first post. I tried to pick a thread title that accurately depicts the absurdity this has become...on both sides...and one that was at least equally disparaging to both parties....

Appreciate you helping out a little in this thread there Gordo...I can't sit on the computer 24/7 and monitor it. I see then end coming relatively quickly if it keeps spiraling downward...and nothing new surfaces.

This has been more entertaining than my last divorce. I would truly like to thank all parties involved for giving my a reason to get up and get on a computer this morning(and I hate computers)! I hope that you all learn very quickly that men will lose more friends and make more enemies over hunting and hunting ground than women ever caused.
