True elevation=datum+river level
Correct and south of Whitehall is much lower ROUGHLY by five feet. So an average of 82.5 give or take. There is a reason they are buliding the levee up because its so close. They aren't doing it for the hell of it.

was thinking the same thing....gator
try to remember this "flood" isnt natural, what these animals are experiencing is a result of the man made levee system
and I'm no deer, but given the choice I'll take my chances against rising water versus a bullet any day

Anyone know where the water is West side of 61 and South of Newman Rd / grain bins in Valley Park?

Not sure how close the water is to the grain elevators, but we just took Newman Rd from Low Water Bridge this afternoon and it must be close. If you're headed towards 61 (the way we were going), the water's across the road right past Mims Mitchell Club, about 25 yrds past the camp that's up on stilts on the left side of the road. Hope that makes since.

Almost turned it over. It was full of furniture across from my cabin and a member's son hauled butt through camp in a boat and slammed another boat up against another cabin.....made the cabin sway enough that it worried the owner that it was about to fall.

just got pics of Miller point and some more from conservation league. Just sickening. Hunting season will not be the same. Cleanup will be unbelievable. I keep telling myself that these are hunting camps and not primary residence, but that is not true with all the pics and it is so sad for these people.

the pics from Mike Lewis's, the holcombes, and the smiths made me want to puke. There will be a lot of work going on after the flood waters recede.

I had forgotten how much stuff had been built in the batture at Vidalia. Just not smart at all. The pics of the levee look pretty good. Good stuff.
