I keep telling myself that these are hunting camps and not primary residence, but that is not true with all the pics and it is so sad for these people.
I have been told, although I have not seen the pics that are being spoken of, that Miller Point will have some high dollar cabins that are totaled. Is that true?

I just got an email with the Miller Point pictures as well. It's all going to be rough. We have a bunch from Merigold posted on photobucket now.

Wow! I would assume that due to the length of time the water will be in place that most of the cabins will be total losses. Is that correct? Man, I hate that for you guys...such history in the hunting camp. Your great grandkids will be looking at those pics with amazement one day.

Well, we thought we had done all the moving that needed to be done and were even kind of laughing at ourselves for being overcautious. Too bad we didn't get everything out instead of four feet above the floor. How much do waterlogged couches and mattresses weigh?
The water level just got a lot higher than my calculations showed, even at the level it turned out to be. I guess I don't have much chance of getting a job with the Corps of Engineers or NOAA.
Thanks for the kind words, Gator and you too, Jelly.

Hwy 12 at Hwy 1 south of Avon. Look at the end of the fields next to Hwy 1. Everything bone dry except the ends of those fields right across the Hwy from the levee.
