I'm surprised at the number of y'all don't like Rocky? I bought my first pair of snake boots last turkey season, and it's my first pair of Rockys of any kind and I couldn't be happier. Love em, and I shopped hard and tried on lots before choosing. They ear like tennis shoes, been thoroughly satisfied in all aspects.

Typical ole miss fan, went with the name instead of function. Now you're unhappy. Say it.

Don't reply, as everything you say is false.

I have had the red heads, comfortable yes waterproof no. After the first season they leaked. I can also say the same about the rockys. I love the way they wear ,but after a year I get my feet wet from dew on the grass. I not so sure that gore-tex is the culprit. I don't own anything that has gore-tex that doesn't leak. I also noticed that none of the new rockys have gore-tex or at least don't advertise it.

I found some Rockys yesterday but they were pull ons, I would prefer to have a lace up, I am sure a pull on that tall has got to be a pain to take on and off. Also Rocky seems to run a little small.

I think you should just go twinkle toe on em...go barefoot and improve your stalking abilities...I've seen you in action, I know what it's about!

I have thought about that figured maybe get some of those fancy 5 toe shoes so they don't see my big booty white feet.

I've been eyeing the Danner Jackyl II boots. Look good, and I think they're a bit lighter than the pronghorns, but dang they're pricey. Every turkey boot I've ever owned leaked, even walking through tall grass in the morning dew.

Just got some browning snake boots. Gona give them a try. Their not gore-tex got some kinda scuba liner. I just hope they don't get hot. Looks like it may be warm this season

I went to Mark's Outdoors to pick up some Rockys. They had some Irish Setter snake boots for $99. The boots had been discontinued year before last and Mark's had bought the remaining stock. The Setters were the most comfortable snake boots in the store. We'll see if they hold up and are waterproof soon enough.

Mark's is in Birmingham. Actually Vestavia Hills on Highway 31.
