No, Bullet, you're wrong. Swamprooter is not a typical Ole Miss fan ---- Swamprooter is an exceptional Ole Miss fan, an old friend, and one who most certainly has more class than you --- at least to the extent exhibited here. But, I must admit, if showing your rear end was a virtue, you'd be right at the top of the heap of classiness. Perhaps your next trick will be to set your hair on fire.

Maybe if MSU had played some more significant football games to date, then its fans here would be less likely to act like juvenilles crying out for attention. Look at us, look at us....a "w" is a "w", even if it is against (fill in the blank). Kind of like a duck hunter bragging about getting a shoveler in a rice field, when another group of hunters stike out hunting the timber for mallards. But, it won't be much longer till the second half of the schedule, when we can give you guys plenty of the "attention" that you so deserve. For instance, I can't wait for the Bulldogs to show us how its done against the Tide. I am ready to receive such instruction.

I take offence to your comment Po Monk....you make it out like Bulldog fans are shoveler shooters and Rebel fans are tried and true, shoot them with the over-and-under, greenheads only, pure timber duckmen. Lines have been drawn. That is it!!! No more spin zone from you UM lawyers

You two, sure are sensitive. I gave the bears some props for getting beat. I mean getting beat by 19 and not giving up a TD in the 2nd half to Bama  should count for something.

Plus, and I didnt watch the entire game(so sorry), it sounds to me like the bears really intimidated the Tide and maybe kinda scared em during the game. Thats a plus as well. It is October now and being scary should be a positive for the bears, I look for the bears to give Arkansas fits in their matchup, right around Halloween, and we all know how effective "scaring people" becomes during Halloween.

I wont even mention almost giving up 70 to Texas, because the bears showed some energy during that game and Texas had to leave their starters in until the final minutes, as even they experienced a little fright from the bears. Credit due, good game, credit given.

Time will tell as the season wears on, State will not win every game this year, thats fact. I live in a real world, not a fantasy world like you 2 seem to live in. I have just gotten weary reading the constant high fiving from you 2 about your awesome losses. Yall make sure to practice your mean faces in the mirror. Help your bears to victory or defeat or kinda winning or moral victories or hell......whatever yall call it. :?

And yes, I love a good shot on a shovelor in the decoys in a rice field. Makes me feel naughty

Bullet, please tell us what "fantasy" world we live in. What have I, swamprooter or any other Rebel said here that constitutes a "fantasy"? Enlighten us as to the basis of your personal criticism.

Were we living in a fantasy thinking that we would beat UCA, Tulane, or UTEP? Or thinking that we would lose to Texas and Bama? Or thinking that the Rebel offense has improved since last year? Or thinking that the Reb D had improved since the Texas game? Or thinking that we could win 3 more games this season when the remainder of the schedule includes Vandy, Arkansas, Auburn, MSU and TAM ? I think that about sums up the extent of Rebel fan opinions and choices.

This is the fantasy to me....

"Maybe if MSU had played some more significant football games to date, then its fans here would be less likely to act like juvenilles crying out for attention. Look at us, look at us....a "w" is a "w", even if it is against (fill in the blank)."

It amazes me how the 2-2 fan base thinks it wise to place themselves above the 4-0 fan base...esp considering the 4-0'ers have won the last 3 head to head meetings. Could be why "delusional" gets tossed around.

from this rebel fan's perspective i got both what i was expecting and a few things i wasn't.

I expected a resounding alabama victory eliciting by a team that could beat a few NFL teams and give several more a run....got it. I am all but positive there is not another team in the country better than alabama. will they be beat, maybe, maybe even most likely given their schedule but there ain't a better team out there.....maybe just one that'll be better on "that" day.

I was not expecting an ole miss team to play tough from the opening kickoff to the end of the game horn. honestly, dating back to the snead years (and, yes, i know we had a few cotton bowls) it just hasn't felt that "good" to be a rebel fan but for the last 3 or so, it's been damn near unbearable....in any case, coming off the last several years of painful to watch, inadequate, lack of heart teams we've put on the field saturday after saturday after gawdawful saturday, I can't help but to be hopeful for the future.

I still don't see this team with more than 4 victories but hope i'm wrong and will continue to hope for the best but expect the worse until proven otherwise.
