UPDATE September 5: I don't usually ask for anything
Re: UPDATE September 5: I don't usually ask for anything
Thats a good perspective you wrote about there. Sounds like you gave your dog your best and he gave you his best, and that, you should be proud of. I am preparing myself for the day my 13yr old Lab "Sadie" cant do it anymore. We are gonna go down swingin though! Sounds like that's what you did w/ Duece. You were a good friend to him and and you should have no regrets. Unfortunately, they just never live long enough.......

Hold your head up Brother....You did everything a loving Father would do for their own kids and that my Friend is something to be proud of. Dogs love unconditionally....I haven't met a woman yet that I could whip and expect her to lick my toes in 30 minutes....
That was meant to be funny....Reflect, as I know you will...on the good times. Deuce loved you and knows what you did for him and that's all that matters now.
Hope to see you soon Hoss....In the marsh and at the camp....I am sorry...I feel for you and the family.

Loosing a dog... well it's just painful no other way to put it. Know that he is in a better place and you will see him again. Not a year yet and I still miss my Lacey dog daily. Nothing like finding dog hair in a couch cushion and crying. Hang your hat on giving him a great life and he gave you his best.
