"who cares about last year" Brings up TCU game. Ahhhhh contradicting. We got our asses handed to us, there's your recap. Bum throwing arm and ankle on our QB, top 2 receivers out, best LT in football out, big contributor at OLB out. We came out flat and got $#!+ on both sides of the ball. TCU was very good and will be again.webbmaster wrote:any recaps from the TCU game?

How'd that Ohio State game go for you? See, that adds zero to this thread, but I didn't expect much more from you either...
Re: Ole Miss v Alabama Prediction Thread
As an Ole Miss fan, I hate to agree with Webbie. This game is not even the biggest game the Rebels have played in the past year. The Auburn game last year was bigger than this game. We were 3 games away from not only playing for the SEC championship but also in the playoff. If Treadwell doesn't go down with the injury and scores we win that game and are still leading the SEC west with 2 games to play. In 2003 we were playing for the SEC west and a win would send us to Atlanta but not to National championship game.
This group of players at Ole Miss view things different than most of us fans do. To them it is a big game because its Bama and they would take an early lead in the SEC West and I can tell you Bama is looking at it the same way. The winner of this game will face big games in every SEC game as will the loser. At the end of the day if Ole Miss loses, they still have a chance to win the West and get in the playoff. ( Bama proved that last year) Also as an Ole Miss fan a loss Saturday and then winning out sends the Rebs to the Sugar Bowl at the worst. I'll take that. One thing Ole Miss fans needs to realize is this is only the beginning of the Rebels as we will have a chance to win the West for several more years.
I believe the winner of this game stills loses at least one more SEC game and both teams may lose 2 by the end of the year.
P.S. This game is bigger for Bama fans than it is for either team. An Ole Miss win will send the State into mass depression and the results could be tremendous. Also as for Webbie, he wont make a prediction so he can come here next week and remind everyone that it was just another game and felt Bama was going to lost the game.

I did make a prediction: PAIN.NUTMEG wrote:Also as for Webbie, he wont make a prediction so he can come here next week and remind everyone that it was just another game and felt Bama was going to lost the game.
With an OM loss, will you guys use the "Bama has had the top recruiting class in the nation the last 5 years so they should have won" bit? It goes both ways.

Real question is, being an Alabama fan... Can you even count to 10? Or is that just the number of teeth you remember the dentist saying you have left?webbmaster wrote:Fairly certain i can get 10 pages out of this thread.

Webbie I know you live in Bama but pain is not a prediction. Both sides will have some pain during the game. Now, How about a prediction? Winner, score?

Re: Ole Miss v Alabama Prediction Thread
And with the best secondary in football comment you proved just how bad your knowledge of football is. Bamas secondary was average at best and you are the only fan that would label them as the best. They had Landon Collins at safety and that was it. Cyrus Jones started playing better late in the season but was still spotty. On this I don't think anybody else would disagree with me.sab316 wrote:That game was 14-3 at half because of a touchdown the refs handed Bama on the blatant no facemask call, with the ref standing in PERFECT view of it. Look at where the ref is in the gif.mshunter77 wrote:I am a little behind so let me try and catch up. Yes this is a big game for both teams. Right now any SEC game is big but obviously this one has big ramifications because both teams are considerd by most "experts" to be favorites to win the west since Auburn is struggling and there are still questions around LSU and A&M. As far as the just another game for Bama it is a half true statement. at this point under Saban Bama has played a lot of "big" games so it is nothing new for them. Not saying it is not a big game but nothing out of the ordinary for a team that has basically been in the top 5 for the past 6 years or so. Now lastly for the comment on ole miss smoking alabama last year could you please elaborate on that? I am a little confused since Ole Miss had to rally in the 4th quarter to an that game and Bama had a good bit more yardage. As a matter of fact I still think had Kiffin stuck with running Yeldon, who was slashing through that great land shark defense, Bama wins that game.
After half Alabama managed 3 points, and the game felt in Ole Miss' control for the entirety of the second half. Should have been a 24-10 game with Bama not scoring in the 2nd half except for a late FG in the 3rd. I'm not saying that as an Ole Miss fan, I'm saying that as a football fan. Ole Miss plays bend don't break defense, have ever since Freeze and Co. came in. They gave up yardage to Yeldon, but held them when it mattered. Ole Miss did what it wanted to in the passing game, against arguably the best defensive secondary in the country, when Alabama KNEW that the Rebs had no run game. Ole Miss torched them on the Vince Sanders TD and the Walton swing pass was run to perfection. And let's not forget Bama's one offensive touchdown for a 4th and 1 conversion. Could have easily been 23-3 game. If this was reversed and Bama would have won everyone would be saying how they dominated ole miss. I love the "great land shark defense" comment, when we lead the nation in scoring D for the season.

I would venture an attempt at any humor or just good ole ball bustin' (effective or not) via posting a meme is better than getting your jollies off being someone you are not on the internet just to get a rise out of people you do not know anonymously...I'll hang up and listen at this timewebbmaster wrote: Says the guy who's posted 24 memes....
