I wish they would come out with an A-5 3 1/2". Those were great guns. Never broke or nothin. I'll bet it would kick a little though.

Buy a cheap gun (Mossberg) and you wont ever have to worry about it. Not always the most expensive gun is the best....just my opinion!!

The A5's were way to durable for Browning to bring them back. They never wore out, so folks did not need to keep buying them, so they just fased them out so folks would buy something new. Just think how if a Chevy truck lasted 60 years what that would do to new truck sales.....

as funny as that sounds, it has a lot of truth to it about several things.

yea, my dad has a sweet sixteen that he has shot since he was 17, shoots all loads and never misses a beat. They are super durable. Another characteristic......they will take a finger off in the action. Messed up one time when i was about 14 and accidently pressed that button with my finger in the way.....ouch!!

bigwater...gotta disagree with the BPS...I've been through 2 with problems...as for the B2000 that was built by Beretta if I remember correctly.
A-5 is a great one, like the Winchester Model 12 and original Super-X...great guns...problem is these guns were machined out of real steel...I'm not aware of a 3.5" gun with a steel receiver anymore...just don't build 'em like they used to....

Xtrema has a steel receiver.

I knew I liked those Xtrema's...I gotta have one when the new version comes out (course with my luck they'll go to an alloy reciever)...I hope they don't shorten the LOP too much on the new guns...I'm sick of adding spacers to a composite stock....
