Dear Coach Sherrill:

I would like to say how much I have come to enjoy watching your work on TV each weekend. You certainly seem to have assembled a fine
bunch of well disciplined, clean cut young men .....always looking for ways to represent MSU in a positive manner.
If you are not too busy watching the offside jumping, halo infraction,
trash talking, punter roughing, pass dropping, kick coverage breakdown
filled lowlights ... would you please send me your autograph on one of
those panties that Dontae wears on his head? Preferably the one he
wore the night he ran so hard and went off on Auburn for 42 yards. I would cherish it as a momento of the fine year we are putting together. (Also, if you could include a lock of Corey Banks hair, I don't think I would ever forget the impressions I have of this year's team.) Also, could you send me Tommy Kelly's potential? He has no use for it. While I've got you ..... a couple of things I've been meaning to ask. Can we start all over with Antonio Hargro? Go back to the beginning in Gautier and see how many times it actually takes him to find Belhaven on his
own? That might tell us something. The number of times he gets lost
might equal the number of years it will take him to learn his routes. Anything over three means we're wasting a seat on the bus. Tell the truth, ...... was Corey Brown really a JUCO all American? If he stays at MSU for three years and does not play, do we get reimbursed for his
scholarship? maybe the recruiting expenses we ran up signing him? I
would say look at Jerry Fremin's receipts, but we might not want to do that.
Anyway, got to go .... I'm trying to figure out what to do with my time
this weekend since we aren't on TV. I guess I'll catch another SEC game,
even though it means watching someone actually play pass defense. It
seems so strange now, since I have gotten used to the way we do
it.... you know, give up short yardage in front, interfere - then talk trash
over the middle, and limp to the sideline after your man scores deep.

Sherril needs to do something. He has about as much discipline as a rabid monkey. I agree with that other post about saying Jackie is the problem.....he's definitely not a motivator!

As for the question about Mario Austin.....still pending. The NCAA is still looking into it. Someone with the committe or something met today to discuss it and now it goes before another committee. Hopefully he'll get to play, if not, I hope he sues the hell out of the NCAA. It's their fault! So what if his high school messed up on some papers? The NCAA should have picked up on it then, rather than waiting three years to gripe about it. C'mon, NCAA guys, have a heart......it's bad enough our football season was a complete disaster, now you have to screw up our basketball season????? What's next? Is the baseball team going to all break legs and hurt their shoulders or something?????? If it weren't for bad luck, we'd have no luck at all.....sometimes I think no luck is better.

Anyone heard much on the rumor about Eli and Brittney Spears? I heard some talk about it on the radio the other day. Any of you Ole Miss guys know anything?

As for Joe Lee, I heard he had put in an application at UT Chatanooga. He was an All American there or something, so the radio guys think that's probably where he'll end up.

i cant believe that britney spears has slouched so far as to be seen wif eli and to come watch one of his games down in O-town. i guess that explains why she never returns my calls.

I sat next to Eli & his date about a month ago at Seinfeld in Memphis, and she was mighty cute, but she definately was NOT Britney Spears!!!
I'm an Ole Miss fan, but the NCAA has really F'd up on this Mario Austin thing!!
