Ball Caps maybe?
Sounds like a great idea. The thing that has kept me from putting together hats/t-shirts/bumper stickers is my lack of artistic creativity. I try to do something myself and get frustrated with the results (you can't tell that my mother is an art teacher). I haven't found anyone local that can put something cool together.
If you guys can come up with a cool logo, I'm more than willing to facilitate ordering the hats and handling the shipping. I would prefer that everyone pre-order, but paypal makes this easy to accomplish.
I agree that a simple logo on a high quality hat is the way to go, and limited color selection should keep the cost down.
All I need are some design ideas (Webfoot and Duckmen should be able to handle this) and teh contact information for a reputable print/embroidery shop.
Thanks for the great ideas.

Suggestions for caps colors
A Solid Wax Cotton Cap in (x) color
Pick two Camo Patterns for hats
A Khaki Colored Cap
Pick a good Cap style and the kind of closure in the back for a good fit. I prefer a cloth adjusted back tab instead of a snap back.

I was at my friends shop this afternoon. He has some tan or black twill caps and a good looking waxed cotton dark tan w/ black bill.
He said no more than $6.50...
camo is cheaper he said.
I prefer a waxed cotton..
I like the logo someone put up earlier. The mallard with msducks.com under it.
Let me know if y'all want me to pursue it further.
I could get him to make one and take a photo and post it.

I would like to see the waxed cotton with:

MSDucks.com
Back of hat:
WATERFOWLING SOUTHERN STYLE
(in Italics)
........if he did a test hat. INJ[/i]

I'm leaning toward Vicksburg's logo, with Webfoot's cap selection, along with injun's description !

Great Idea, I'm In
Delta Ducks suggestion about the company in Clarksdale is a good one. I had a hat made by them from Delta Wildlife once and it's still the best wearing hat that I've ever owned. Looking forward to my new hat.

Been away awhile but I think this is a great idea. Looks like everyone wants something different, plain/camo, cotton, light color for summer, waxed, etc.......
We'll never all agree on this stuff so make it a package deal, 2 hats. The more hats, the better deal we should get, plus a couple extra bucks to boot per hat goes to the pot for the website. A nice plain color, kakhi/olive, lightweight hat for summer, then a waxed camo pattern for huntin' season. Combined we should be talking $25 -$30. The logistics of putting nicknames would be a nightmare, especially with getting them shipped to the right folks. I think that should be left up to the individuals if they want that or not. Most folks can get that done for $5 - $7 at a local print/t-shirt shop.
