yes. the dates are what are causing the problems. both of the instructors compete across the country and being retired visit many of the shows.......and, now w/ 100 degree heat, it's not a good idea if we can't find something indoors.
it's going to happen, hopefully this fall. best i can offer at present.

So you are looking for a classroom/shop setting that is centrally located. Do you need the ability to setup some mobile shop equipment or not?
Let me know and we can possibly start looking for the facility.

there's another, possibly cheaper option that i have thought about....but, EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE AWARE THAT WHAT I'M ABOUT TO SUGGEST IS DUE TO COSTS/TIMING, WANTING TO STRIKE WHILE THE IRON IS HOT, AND THERE'LL LIKELY BE ALOT LESS "EXPERT OPINION".
i could set dates that i could work w/, get an absolute firm head count and take NON-REFUNDABLE deposits, maybe get some sponsors (maybe not) and kinda "lead" the group along w/ some local guys that have made enough decoys to be helpful (i think i can talk them into doing it).
i'd have several decoys at various stages to look at AND work on one along side everyone else.
we'd do a diver (bluebill, redhead or canvasback) due to simpler painting schemes (i.e. less paint to buy).
i'd need some help w/ a few things as my "shop" is in my garage, like big shop fans and such.....we'd start on friday evening and work through sunday (possibly sat/sun).
YOU would be responsible for sleeping quarters though there's a cheap motel real close to my house.....if we went to my 'in-laws' down on the bogue chitto river, i could do better than that......but, i can't promise that and many might not want that added travel expense.
the money after costs i would probably turn over to GH22 to get to micah to help w/ the board.
there's ALOT left that would need ironed out, but this would be another way we could get you guys started that want to, just can't make yourself pull the trigger.
or, we could wait until i can get some bigger guns in teh decoy world to come down...........but, that WILL be more costly.
thoughts?

We are starting to plan the Delta Wings Festival would you like to have a booth there to show these off at no cost and maybe raise some money for the board.

Timing will probably the hardest part of the whole deal. What weekends do you have in mind- I realize its tentative.

i'll be in town for about the next 8-10 weeks so count me in if it's during that time, and let me know if you need some blanks cut out or something, and i have a pretty stout little shop fan too
