He's definitely coming next season. They named the actor who will play him a few weeks back. Probably won't be too long because I figure that helicopter they showed at the beginning is a clue. (In the comic, they stumble upon the Governor's settlement while investigating a helicopter crash.) Gonna be a long summer.Chuckle12 wrote:Rick finally lost the "good guy" persona & became a bonafide badass, Michonne enters the picture, teaser of the prison. Next season will be awesome. I wonder when they will introduce the "Governor".

Re: The Walking Dead
I'm going to have to find these comics
Re: The Walking Dead
The comic book series has a lot more background info on each character that the TV series just doesn't have time to explore. Also, the series basically follows the book, but of course there are a lot of changes with many of the details. If you read the graphic comics then you will probably find yourself very frustrated with the TV series.duramax wrote:I'm going to have to find these comics

Jon Bernthal (character Shane) was on Geek Time radio show on Howard 101 on Sirius last week (his second time on the show) talking about how when he got the part of Shane, he bought the book or comic books to read up on what it was all about. He said he went to take a $hit and would read a bit. He said before he was done taking a dump, Shane was already dead. I guess he died a lot faster in the story than the show. He also said he liked how the director got the viewing audience to know a few of the characters before the zombie apocalypse hit. He was a good actor. I hope his career continues. He said he was filming another pilot show that might be on AMC. If it is on AMC, you know it will be good.

Re: The Walking Dead
For you comic book guys whats the deal with the girl in the hood and the walkers chained up behind her and what about the prison?
It's Not all Mai Tais and Yahtzee Out Here
Re: The Walking Dead
It's all on Wikipedia. She is just another character. More adapted to the new world and not still in freak out mode.
I'm not real impressed with the governor. Already been done in Apocolypse Now, mad maxII, waterworld.

If you want to read about all the characters and the plot line of the story check this out:

I just googled walking dead prison and found it. It has tons of info on how the comic series went. You can click on each character and see if they lived or died, who they killed, or who they were killed by and how. Be warned, there are several potential spoilers. I say potential, because there is no telling what will happen in the TV series. Sophia, Carol's little girl that got lost and turned to a zombie this season, survived the whole story in the Comic book series. I was also suprised to see that Dale and Andrea had more of a physical relationship than a father-daughter relationship as was protrayed on the show. So who knows how the characters will end up on TV.

I paused that scene, she had cut their arms off? Assuming this is her way of walking among walkers? She chains two up and it prevents other walkers from attacking? And she cut their arms off to prevent them from grabbing her and making a manwich out of her? Nonetheless, she's got a katana sword and 2 chained up zombies, I'm not ticking her off.

Re: The Walking Dead
Her name is Michonne. In the comic book/graphic novel Michonne is a black girl that has survived. She gets the Ketana sword from her neighbors kid that was a sword collector. The guys that are chained to her are a relative and a friend if I remember correctly (boyfriend or something like that). She cut off their arms and lower jaw to prevent them from harming her. She has them chained to her for cover basically. The "Walkers" don't seem to notice her if those two walkers are walking around with her.SFDdelta1 wrote:For you comic book guys whats the deal with the girl in the hood and the walkers chained up behind her and what about the prison?
Re: The Walking Dead
The TV producers and writers have not followed the book to every detail. Several characters have been changed. ie... someone died in the comic that is still alive on the show etc...duramax wrote:If you want to read about all the characters and the plot line of the story check this out:

Re: The Walking Dead
I was suprised how T-Dog and Daryl were completely original characters for the TV show. I like Daryl, but would have thought they could used several of the other existing characters.
Re: The Walking Dead
T-Dog is Tyrese in the comic series. Tyrese was an ex-nfl player.duramax wrote:I was suprised how T-Dog and Daryl were completely original characters for the TV show. I like Daryl, but would have thought they could used several of the other existing characters.
Re: The Walking Dead
The Walking dead started out as a graphic comic series. You can purchase it as as book however. It is only a compilation of the comic book series. My guess is that Jon Bernthal is talking about reading the book.duramax wrote:
