When I saw this post about "6 in a row", I thought GH 22 was talking about the number of consecutive days former MSU players were busted for drug violations

We don't need to mention beating up off duty cops at a pool hall or stealing CD's at the local music store do we GC????
I must have missed that one.
The difference in Ole Miss and State is: We can afford to buy the back a caddy, Fant only gets free rims.......BWAHHHAAHHHAAHHHHAAA

Jesus - after living in Virginia for 7 years, I had forgotten how obnoxious State fans were. I always thought that State fans were the worst until I got to know Virginia Tech fans - and Tech actually has somewhat of a reason to have an attitude. They at least played for a national title one year.
I mean, fer Chrissakes, yeah, you made the Final Four, you went to Omaha a few times, you went to Atlanta once - all good things and better than what the Rebels have done. Doesn't change the fact that Ole Miss pretty much whips your ass 2 out of every 3 years. Definitely State has the higher highs, but also the lower lows. Hell, even during the probation years, the Rebels didn't have seasons like State's last two.
The difference between State and Ole Miss people can be summed up with a simple story---go to the Liberty Bowl back in 91 or so, when Air Force was winning something like 28-3 at halftime and the temperature was about 5 degrees. I'm sitting with my girlfriend and her family among a crowd of State people and they're all thinking that if they can make a play, block a kick, or something that they can get back in the game. An Ole Miss fan (in a similar predicament as myself) turns around and says, "See, this is the difference between you and us. You guys are dumb enough to think you can still win the game. If this were Ole Miss getting beat this badly, we'd all be down at the Rendezvous right now, munching on ribs and talking about firing the coach."
'Bout sums it up, methinks.
