T-Dog is Tyrese in the comic series. Tyrese was an ex-nfl player.
I thought Tyrese came in after Michonne in the comic? I may have read wiki wrong.

T-Dog might be loosely based on Tyrese, but they aren't the same by the sound of his character. Tyrese came with his daughter and her boyfriend and was an Alpha male leader. He and Rick were the two leaders of the group. T-Dog only resembles him in that he's black. They might have made T-Dog instead of Tyrese so they didn't have 2 main leaders of the group since Shane stuck around for so long in the series. Plus too many characters probably would get confusing.

Actually, I think they spit Tyrese into T-Dog, Shane and Daryl. In the Comics, Tyrese was a major character. He was the other Alpha Male with Rick. Kinda like what shane was earlier in the TV series. He was black like T-Dog and also T-Dog was using a clawhammer in earlier episodes on TV. The clawhammer was Tyrese weapon that he used in the comic books. Tyrese had a love affair with Carol that was later interrupted by Michonne.

If you have netflix, the first season (only 6 episodes) is on there. Second season is a lot better though.

First season was not that good in my opinion. I have read the comics. As usual the written version is always better than a film adaptation, but it is a good series.
I was very impressed with some of the firearm usage on the Season 2 finally. Last night we saw a kid that just fired his first handgun take down a zombie with a head shot at 30 yards while his own father was partially obstructing his view. Also, we had Hershel with the most Bad to the bone shotgun ever made. I counted one scene where he fired off 11 rounds without a single reload. We also had Lori taking down would be attackers with head shots at 30-40 yards, using no other than a snub nose 38. And of course, not missing a single shot while hanging out a window of fast moving automobiles riding on uneven terrain.
Yes, those were some pretty impressive feat of marksmanship we saw last night. Better sign that group up for "Top Shot".
Of course, while I am rolling my eyes and making comments such as how unbelievable that is, I have to remind myself I am watching a show centered around zombies roaming the earth.

yeah, well, we're talking zombies man.......zombies.
i try not to get all caught up in extraneous issues such as fine details and reality
in any case, i just figured herschel had been on a ditch whorin' snow goose wackin' and had his magazine extension on his person.

somebody needs to shoot the kid in the show... he could screw up a bowling ball. get rid of him and most of their problems are solved.

Why is that little "illegitimate child" never in the house?
"Carl get in the house" 5 minutes later, "Where's Carl, anybody seen Carl?"
Well Carl is down at the creek screwing with the zombie, or sneaking in the barn to look at the prisoner. Damnit people do something with that kid.

The shooting is more unbelievable than the zombie thing.

besides the whole "zombie" element, everything seemed pretty down to earth until Michonne showed up at the end with that big booty sword and two walkers chained to her.
I guess I was right about everyone having the disease, I'll try to not let it go to my head...
Started the first Gunslinger book last night and it's pretty good

In the comics, was it the same in that everyone had the disease, and you would turn when you die?

Here's a few things about next season:

Apparently Michonne is a big deal on the internet now. The Governor will also be next season. I'll be curious if they make a late intro of Tyrese, even though he would most likely die later in the season.
