Ole Miss is turning into the best reality show since The Real World. I'd give anything for a transcript of that interrogation.
Investigator: Mr. Reed we've got you on breaking and entering, and burglary.
Reed: Breaking and entering? Hold on mfer! I ain't broke into chit! I's effing stays there!

Are there gonna be any wheels left on the bus for the double decker festival next month?

Very entertaining thread. Could be an all time classic when done.

My favorite part was the aubrun fan explaining in detail how "things get done."
Keep it down home, cuz.

Well I am sure those 2 wins against Bama "on the field" were sure worth it.

Smoke em if you got em boys...

I'm surprised it took 6 pages for you to show up. How are all the sister-cousins doing in Alabama? They have to be walking around bow legged after learning of this news and the possibility of those wins against Sidewalk-U having to be vacated.

This article should be required reading for all viewing this thread.

It's written by an Ole Miss grad who interviewed one of their bag men at the height of their recruiting prowess and provides a lot of insight into how the shady business of paying recruits goes down.

Here's an interesting article from December 2015. In it Freeze professes to be the mastermind behind recruiting success. Was he lying then or are they lying now about his involvement.

“I have to set the tone. My assistants follow. And we all follow the plan I created for recruiting. We do not deviate.

Stang, you know that's just words. Hey-Hugh would never believe his own words and follow through with his promises. Not this time anyway.

You gotta admit it's pretty funny.

Freeze: "Recruiting success? Why yes. I'm completely responsible. I come with a plan for my assistants to follow. They do what I tell em."

Reporter, 12 months later: "Ahem, Coach Freeze, we have evidence that your assistants have been paying recruits, and some say you should be punished for not having proper control over your subordinates."
Freeze: "They always just did their own thing, when it came to dealing with recruits. I had no knowledge of it. None."

It's been slow-played at each step. The longer they wait, the more likely it is that they'll be into the football season when infractions are handed down. That way player transfers are more difficult -- they're basically stuck at OMU for the year. That's a legitimate reason to delay, right?
