look if you think someone is a moron you need to keep it to yourself because i do know the club and most of the people in it . i am from from jealous but i guess you think it is smart to spend 100000 plus to go kill some ducks but you probaly buy "BEARDED CLAM" too
HUH?
1st, I apologize about calling you a moron, that was not right....Buy "BEARDED CLAM", what the hel) is that? I never stated anything about your duck killing expertise, I don't know you and have never hunted with you..If I could afford to spend $100k on ducks I would do it, that's what I like to do, hunt ducks..I plan on doing just that one day. I simply stated, I don't feel that all of those "rich" guy's are duck hunter wannabees...Some are good hard core duck hunters who happen to have a great spot to hunt..I know lots of "rich" guy duck hunters who are serious lay in the mud duck killin' bastads'...Just because they have a fancy truck and a fancy club, that doesn't make them any less of a hunter...Yes, I'm from the city , but am certainly no fag..
Oh yeah, the rez is kinda slow the last few years and the dock closed down

I waded through most of the replies and here's how I see it. The topic is "Taking fun out of hunting" and I think any kind of "do nothing" hunting wouldn't be any fun. Usually "do nothing" is high dollar stuff, maybe always?
I'd hafta say the less I'm doing the less fun it is for me. Even when on occasion I'm a guest of someones and they or their buddy is "the caller" and no one else calls, that ain't no fun. I like to call, pitch decoys, figure out the wind, use my dog and in public hunting, try to outwit all the other humans as well as the ducks. I like participating in every aspect, that's my fun. To have it all prepared, just show up and pull the trigger, that's not my kind of fun.
A few times while public hunting I've been in the right place at the right time and we quickly realized it was going to be over very soon unless we changed our plan. So we took turns, tried to pick out bands, filled our limit selectively by specie and otherwise made it more challenging if for no other reason just to enjoy it a little bit longer.
boog the do all

Several things
1st----I have personally hunted at a certain high dollar club and will not go back because of the ethics involved there (IE: kill a limit in 20 minutes and call a dude in a boat to come get your ducks so you can kill more)...and no....i did not shoot after i had 1 limit
2nd----direct quote from member of that club to me "where we are going, you don't have to know anything except how to pull the trigger"
3rd----I have hunted since i was 8 years old and I will say this.....i met Outlaw Josey Wales and Torch and Killemall and .....well lets just say over 25 folks here on MS ducks.....Outlaw may not be the best......but if not he is pretty DAMN close
I could care less if people pay 10 million a year for a duckhole....i for one can not!!!! One thing I will say for the crew I am with though......we do kill ducks...and short of a decision to hunt in Missouri (sorry Torch

)
we have always killed ducks!
As for city boys....i know 2 country boys who had a hole for free that they hunted alot.....5 city boys found out about it.....went to the land owners wife when he wasn't around and offered 45000 dollars for 40 acres....she signed it....and 2 country boys lost their hole......TO MAKE A POINT FROM THE OUTLAW.........[b]YOU BOYS ARE HAVING A HARD TIME KEEPIN WATER IN YOUR HOLES AINT YA......IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think all of us are crazy as hell! Let's see, we get up at 4:00 in the morning, drive to God only knows where in any kind of weather from 75 degrees to minus 5, ride a 4-wheeler into a 25 mph north wind, all to stand waist deep in ice water with a wet dog and a gun, just kill as small bird (or not) that must cost $500 a lb., get home just in time to get bitched at by the wife and go to bed, just so I can do this all over again tomorrow!
Who thinks any of us are sane, reasonable human beings? And, knowing duck hunters, how many of you really think you are going to change some other duck hunter's mind and have him tell you you are right and he is wrong?
Now, tell me again, what was this argument all about?

Some of ya'll are absolutely ridiculous... so jealous over a damn duck. If you're so good at huntin' ducks, then why do you give a damn what they do up there? I don't go on guided hunts because I like to do my own work. You think these guys have been waited on hand and foot all their lives? Hell no. How do you think they came to afford a place like that? They sure as hell didn't go out to the money tree and stuff their pockets. I happen to be lucky enough to hunt in a pretty nice place and I have worked just as hard as I have in years past. Hell, last Saturday we threw out over 200 decoys. You call that being waited on hand and foot? The only catch is I get to sleep a little later and save a little money on gas. Just because one nice duck club in the state of MS happens to kill, kill, kill with little or no work doesn't mean everybody who pays a good price for a piece of land does the same. And as a matter of fact, I happen to be heading to the river Friday afternoon to hunt. I go where the ducks are, just like everybody else. And you bet your booty, if you pulled the boards on my lease you better be wearin' brass underwear unless you want a .223 bullet in each asscheek.

If any of yall know bubba at FB, yall cant say that he dosent know how to kill the he11 out of ducks. Yea he's a member now but I promise talking to him he was killin em before he started hunting a FB twenty years ago. He11 his laynard has at least 80 or 90 bands (thats all because its full). Probally 5 or 6 reward bands. Some of the members might not be Phil Robertson Jrs. but who gives a Shizit, last i checked I cant kill their ducks or spend their money. So Grow up ya punks. And move on to badmitten or some other gay sport.

That's true, too. I didn't want it to start sounding too good, some of these boys might try to buy my spot out from under me.
