Assistant professor of IT.

If your kids comes from college and looks rested and content, they didn't take my classes. I make the senior IT security students live in the building one weekend and pull 16 hour shifts around the clock while they fend off simulated waves of network threats and try to brign the systems back online. In other words, I prepare students for success the real world by making their lives miserable now.

Lawyer...weekend hunter

Note: If any of you guys have children that aspire to practice law and you encourage it because they are good at arguing with you, then stop encouraging it. Ugly little secret of lawyers, probably 90% of us would do anything else under the sun if we could and it paid roughly the same. There are about 5% of attorneys who truly love the practice of law and love the law in general and would do it for free (it is not a job to them) and there are another 5% that love the idea of being a lawyer and the money that can be made, social status, etc. Then there are the 90 percenters who hate what they do.

Bottomline, highly discourage your children from this field. If they overcome this discouragement, perhaps they will be in the other ten percent.
