You can always move back to virgina and be a looser all the time

If it's head ain't gren it ain't a duck !
That is not all true bully. I went to God's country for 3 years and just graduated in December and I don't think that way at all. I am a school teacher and I have just enough money to pay bills and keep the woman happy. I have no extra money to throw around. Granted there are some folks from Ole Miss who think this way, but I have friends at State also so I have spent some time there, and you will find that there are some pretty snooty rich folks there too. That's kinda like the pot calling the kettle black.
STATE FANS HAVE HIGHER HIGHS, AND LOWER LOWS !
WELL HELL YEAH !!!!!!!
That's what it's all about lower14 !
You just summed up what I've known all along about Ole Mess sports !
You guys are content with 6-6 records and obscure bowl bids !
Don't get me wrong,.... I would have loved for MSU to have been 6-6, the last 3 years, and played in Shreveport !
But I wouldn't trade it for the final four!
I wouldn't trade it for 1 trip to Omaha,.... much less 7 !
Don't talk about getting rid of sub-par coaches,.... Do it ! (Barnes/Bianco)
Jury still out on Softie.....urrr.... I mean Cuttcliff ! (BTW, his forehead is much too large)...... Imagine his forehead and Tubby's ears !
NOW THAT'S FUNNY !
Simmer down !!!!,...... Just chewing the fat with ya !
Have a good day !
Rip Em !

OFFSEASON ?,..... Ain't no such thing !
I just read lower14's post and have to respond.
I think he hit the nail on the head about the differences between State and Ole Miss people and that is why I thank the good Lord that I am not an Ole Miss person.
(Most)State people are loyal, care about their school and care about their teams. They stick with their teams thru thick and thin and always have hope that they can pull out a victory, winning season, etc. The kind of people that I like to call friends and hunting buddies.
(Most)Ole Miss people really don't care about their school, their teams, winning, or their coaches. They just want to make sure that they look good in the Grove, that everyone else knows that they look good and that they have more toys than the next guy. They are not the type of people that I like to call friends or hunting buddies. They are the type that pay $600 a day to duck hunt and brag to everyone about the fact that they did so.
See ya at the FINAL FOUR. For Ole Miss people, that is were the best four basektball teams in the country meet every year to compete for the national title. [/quote]

Wow...how quickly a fun thread about sports turns into a stereotypical thrash on the people that make-up each other's school.
First off, let me say how petty each of you look trying to call out an entire school, composing of Alumni, current students, and fans, and try make "them" look to be one way or another. It's one thing to argue about the success or failure, consistency or inconsistency, or the overall status of the sports teams affiliated with the schools...but starting to analyize and critique on the "personality" of an ENTIRE school is just ridiculous. You don't know everybody who goes to, or ever went to State or Ole Miss! All you know, are people you know who went there...hearsay...or what your Daddy told you about the people at the college. Grow up.
HDC, your gross over-generalization is exactly what I am talking about. And don't try to throw the "well, I said (Most)..." crap at me. You don't know (Most) of the people at Ole Miss, or (Most) of the people who went to Ole Miss. Just like you don't know (Most) of the people who are at, or went to State.
It is fine and dandy to have an opinion...don't get me wrong...that's your right. But when you start throwing those kind of stereotyping remarks out there, just think about what you are saying.
The only difference between State "people" and Ole Miss "people" is that some went to school in Starkville, and others went to school in Oxford.
