found a 3 ft copperhead in the road yesterday

The end of my lens was about 2 feet from this vicious beast. I was laying on the ground. The dirt is in his mouth because I kicked at him to stop him from escaping in the bushes so I could take the shot. He never struck nor made a move at me.

a little story, and we'll let this thread die....

my best friends went on a vacation back in the late 70's...they decided to ride up the the mountains for a few days. they said they were driving thru some natural park and noticed alotta cars pulled over on both sides of the road up ahead of them. well, they were late going somewhere so they drove on thru. just as they get between the cars, the boys said 'dad sped up for a second a then just locked the brakes'

well, all those people had pulled over becuase there was a 6 foot rattle snake sunning in the road and they had all pulled over to take pics.....

then this carroll county country boy comes thru and locks the brakes up on him....turned him into hamburger meat right in front of the whole crowd...!!!

damn, I wish I could have been there for that!
