Seems like this happens more and more, It never gets cold until late in the season (if at all in the season) and around February we have codl weather and ducks. Why not move our season back a month, Open in Mid December and close at end of February?

It would take an act of congress to change that. Literally. Have to change up the Migratory game bird act that prevents the season going into February.

Clients from OH said today that they're still shooting bue-wings and woodies; that they think the migration is 3 weeks behind. LLDC reports influx of pintails that are pristine white, indicating theyve not been in the brackish marsh and bounced back. Given hunting reports from around the state, I tend to agree that the migration is late.

Yeah I think the ducks have moved west. My buddy is still killing his limits in Oklahoma.

Don't think their not getting killed just the same. This is just icing on the cake for states whose season is usually locked up cause of ice by now.

I will worry about next year on Feb 1st. Im worried about this year right now.
Even is we start drolling on next year right now, whats to say the weather doesnt do the same again??

There aint.....why they call it hunting not killin....you just got to plan smarter when season suxs....dont spinn ya wheels on something that aint gona produce.....lots of other things to hunt if one quarry not doing well.....

Not understanding why so many assume that because they are not killing ducks that the #s are going to "unbelievable' next year. Please explain the logic behind this. I assure you that hunters in Missouri, west TN, IL ect are having an excellent year. How does your success or lack there of equate to more birds next year?
