I could not imagine being away from my son for more than a few days much less that amount of time. Missing those months/years of their children's lives is a great sacrifice. They are the most selfless people on the planet. Can't thank the military enough for what they do.

Today I watched a MEDEVAC unit leave for Afghanistan. Most don't understand the feeling of leaving home and not knowing if you will return.

So true! My heart and thoughts and prayers are always with our soldiers, but it is so easy to forget about their families!
