Gona be in Destin May 16-20...never been before lookin for things to do, places to eat, etc.No kids just me and the lady..would love to go out fishing one day..any info on that would be great...thanks in advance.

Go to the majestic sun, go into front lobby and look by the ATM machine. Every restraurant there has a coupon for buy 1 get one free meals in the visitors guide for destin. Trust me it saved us a ton this past year when we went. Only took 5 years to realize this was there. It is usually 3-4 different books there with all different coupons.

Go down to the pier right after you cross the bridge into destin on the right. We loved pappys crab shack I think was the name. Killer deserts at Harry T's and drinks. The irish place across the street was great also.

We took the jody boat out 1 day. You get a coupon for buy 1 get 1 free also in the books for 1/2 the fishing boats there. Really good time and great deck hands with them.

Stay away from the silver dunes (think thats it name) outlett mall! Everything there is cheap at the under armour factory store.

You can go to panama city also and take a airboat ride in the swamps and see gators! Cant remember their name but we did it and it was fun.

Just a heads up.. That is spring break and every college freshman from Mississippi Alabama and every other state in the south will be there. Might not be a bad thing for You. Just depends on what You want out of your vacation.

Maybe you are thinking about March? We usually go around March 10th every year and thats spring break down there I thought. Now we go 1st week of april when prices drop a couple of hundred dollars for a week and less crowded everywhere

Spring break is in March, most of the time. May is when everybody gets out for the summer.

We just got access to a friends condo free for that weekend so we decided to take the offer lol not a chosen date.

Louisiana place is crazy priced and I never have liked it. But the other 2 you said are great! Try the whales tail on the each also or breakfast and the donut hole I think it was called.

May should still be good cobia fishing. Destin has some of the best Cobia fishing there is to be had. Definately look into that.

I have never been to the other two but Louisiana Laginappe was really good when we went.
