Congratulations. When our bill passed in Alabama two years ago we went from a wasteland of flavorless watered down beers, to a myriad of choices and styles seemingly overnight. The only downside is it makes trips to my local beer shop take much longer. I can never figure out what to try next!

I watched the live feed of it. Just found out it's held over on motion to reconsider....

67 yea to 40 something no so even if they sway a few votes to NO we should be good still.

It's not a law yet.

It passed the House Floor but was held on a motion to reconsider (as stated). This happens quite often - if it's tabled, it will still go to the Senate.

If it makes it to the Senate, and I think it probably will, it will be referred to the appropriate Senate committee, then to the Senate floor for a vote (based on the fact that the Senate committee passed their version, I'd think they'd vote for the house version which is very similar).

If it reaches the Senate, leaves committee, passes the Senate floor, it must be signed by the Guv.

This isn't over yet, still several steps left.

Meanwhile - the Senate version is moving along. The bills to legalize home brewing beer are still in committee, not sure they're status. They have to be out by Tuesday or they die. There is also a bill allowing breweries to sell or give samples.

For those of you that haven't seen this (or haven't seen it in a while), here's a refresher on our legislative process:

I found this humorous:
