NORTH AMERICAN B-25 MITCHELL

This small but effective bomber was used in all theaters of World War II as well as the Dolittle raids on Japan. Be there when the Commemorative Air Force, Missouri Wing, brings this historic bomber to NAS Meridian.

GRUMMAN TBM AVENGER

The Avenger was a very useful torpedo bomber for the US Navy during World War II. It carried a crew of three and could also haul up to four 500 lb. bombs or depth charges in its bomb bay instead of a torpedo. Come see this wonderful war bird up close when the Commemorative Air Force, Missouri Wing, flies in.

BEECH C-45/SNB EXPEDITOR

The local Commemorative Air Force, Mississippi Wing, will be flying in this beautiful aircraft. This war bird way mainly used as a transport during World War II.

NORTH AMERICAN SNJ TEXAN

The Texan, known as “The pilot maker,” will be flown in by the Commemorative Air Force, Razorback Wing. This war bird is what every pilot in the World War II era had to master before getting into a P-51 Mustang or a F4U Corsair.

GRUMMAN FM-2 WILDCAT

This Wildcat, flown in by the Cavanaugh Flight Museum, is an early fighter of the Pacific theater in World War II. Many US Navy pilots became aces in this war bird.

DOUGLAS C-47 SKYTRAIN

The Skytrain, owned by the Cavanaugh Flight Museum, is an unbelievable warbird that did so many unspoken tasks during World War II. The Skytrain is most famous for taking the brave men of the Army Airborne into France during the D-day invasion.

YAKOVLEV YAK-9

The Yak-9 was the mainstay of the Soviet Air Force in the middle and late years of World War II, and was produced in greater numbers than any other Soviet fighter. Flown in by Danny Hickman.

CESSNA L-19 / 0-1 BIRD DOG

The Bird Dog was used for forward air controller or observation roles. They were rarely used during the Korean War but are really known for their work in Vietnam.

The Navion is a successful civilian aircraft turned military. Purchased by the US Air Force as liaison aircraft, personnel/cargo carriers, and trainers.

BOEING STEARMAN

Boeing Aircraft manufactured 10,250 Stearmans as models, PT-13 and PT-17, N2S-1, N2S-2, N2S-3 and the N2S-4 for the Army and Navy. This made it the most successful primary trainer of World War II. This is a N2S-4 flown in by Carey Hardin.

NORTH AMERICAN T-28 TROJAN

The North American T-28 Trojan replaced the T-6 Texan. It became the primary trainer for the U.S. Air Force and the U. S. Navy. This aircraft will be flown in by David Flickenstein.

The Tora guy will be doing a Pyro show..should really be good...Looks like the weather is gonna be great for the show too...If I remember correctly I have around 39 acts performing....good for an audience..sucks for me coordinating...

I love airshows, Blue Angels For sure. The weather looks like it will be good. I believe this will be the first airshow where I'm not about to pass out from heatstroke.

I have to work Saturday and maybe Sunday.

Yeah..I've been getting home around 2200-2300 each night..tryin' to get this sheeot finalized..Should be a damned good show!! Wait til ya see the Pyro show!!!

I was there with my JROTC class from Brandon. I went Sat. and it was great except for the expenses for drinks and stuff. I saw the plane were they were saying security was going out there to shoot him down with a 30 mm gun or something it was pretty neat except when the blue angles came up behind us and all you saw was the plane and then about a second or two later the sound. It was really good. If I ranked it from 1 to 10. 10 being the best I would rate it a 10. Good job Bustin' Ducks.

Thanks Josh... I had nothing to do with the prices and believe you me..my wife let me know that she spent $5 on a hotdog and coke for my daughter!! A bottle of water was $2.50..Beer were $4.50 per draft..OUTRAGEOUS!!

THe wall of fire from the B-17 was awesome!!
At one time we had 26 Warbirds airbourne!! Pretty spectacular!! most of the pilots were in the their 60's and 70's! THe led pilot from the Canadian Pitts Special Formation Team was 72...Kinda cool to see these guys perform, and watch us youngsters goo and gaah on how good they were!!

I had a blast. The old warbirds were amazing. My buddy conveniently left his wallet "in the truck", which was parked in the next county due to the vastness of the crowd/parking, so I/we spent over $120, but we never got thirsty or hungry and I got the t-shirt AND the chair.

They would, in fact, allow you to bring in as much bottled water as you could carry in your hands. A little publicized fact. Would you want it warm two hours later? Well I dunno.

The high "event" type prices are to be expected these days, when will folks quit being shocked? Nothing personal to lil'smacko or Bustin, lot's of folks were fussing. How much are Nacho's at the Saints game?
