serious question here
serious question here
guys, i was cooking up some breakfast yesterday and pontificating on life and whatnot......mighta even been cogitating, not sure.
as this was going on i slapped an egg down on the edge of a bowl and it didn't break......i do so again and it only cracked.........the next time, at the height of my frustration (b/c who likes a hard-headed egg right? right?) i slam the little sumbitch against the bowl shattering it, causing egg to fling and fly everwhichaway.
my question to you is, has anyone other than myself noticed the thickness of eggshells these days to be thicker than they were 'back in the day'?
do you think the government is genetically mutating these things? is this the outcome of steroid laced chicken food??? can we blame this on china in any way????
just curious, talk amongst yourselves, gator

Re: serious question here
Its Obama's fault. The chickens are trying to hold on the the eggs longer to keep Obama's greedy hands off of them.
Re: serious question here
What's with these grocery stores and these steroid-infested Chicken Breasts to grill, the sumbitches are huge. For one, they take a looooong time to cook properly and taste like friggin blah. The hens must have weighed 10 lbs. Every now and then, I like to cook hot wings and I have to selectively shop for the "normal size" wings.
Without a doubt, this egg casing is stronger since it's Momma weighed 10lbs. and less chance of crushing it.

Re: serious question here
Increased micronutrients of unknown specificity in chicken diet minimizes eggs breakage during transport and consumer handling. Increases the bottom line for Big Egg. For easier to break eggs, try the treid-and-tru home remedy of placing them beneath canned goods during ride home from grocery. Works every time.

Crack egg on a flat surface, and you will not have that problem.

If a chicken eats 100cc of steroid, how much stronger does that make the egg shell (answer in lbs of FORCE required for gaytor to crack said egg) and in turn, how much more weight (answer in how many gaytors) can the egg shell support before failing? [place answers in two decimal places]
