So who all has signed up and what time are yo uracing? I'm taking off at 9:00. Anyone know the rules about skipping obstacles? I have a friendly bet with a buddy of mine and I have a slight feeling that he will try to skip mst obstacles and try to run 3.4 miles straight through. I had heard that if you skip an obstacle you do not get a time at the end. Anyone else heard that?

Also, when some of us master the Warrior Dash, wold anyone be down to train for Tough Mudder (Tough Mudder = Warrior Dash on Roids) Check out this link:

2:30...my understanding is that the the chip timer you place on ur shoe, disqualifies you if you go "outabounds"...could just be a scare manuever....but for the people that can't do a certain obstacle--you still get the metal for "participating" although no time. I have also seen some youtube footage and unless you are in front of the line..you may have to wait in line for an obstacle--which would kill your time if trying to be competative...........me....probably just trying to finish w/o a heart attack

From what i read, when you cross the start line your time starts, so you have three choices on strategy. 1st Take off fast and try to be the first to the obstacle, or 2nd hold off as long as you can before starting and hope that everyone has cleared the obstacles when you get to them. 3, say screw it and just have fun.

just under 59 min..but I am an old Fart  loved the obstacles ...but the Mud and Hills kicked my butt...if it weren't for Duck Hunting I would have had no training for the Mud....over 7200 people finished (recorded times)...was an amazing event..over $80,000 raised for St.Jude....oldest dude like 75 or 78....I fell victim to the crowd at the Finish, at the Mud Pit they were all Screaming "Do it...Do it" ..I had just gone under the Barbed wire with my head above the mud, so On the second Wire I had figured out what the Crowd wanted...so I went all the way under...when I opened my eyes, everything was Black.."huh-thought i opened my eyes---Dang- I DID!--I can't see" --wiped my eyes with muddy hands--"that didn't help much" ---Man..I am Blind with Barbed wire between me and the Finish line---few blinks and I could almost see...You would think that as Old as I am I wouldn't listen to "the Crowd"

The whole day was fun. A group of us have already signed up for the one in Oct. in Denham Springs. I had to help a non-swimmer in the deep hole. Those lifeguards earned their pay on Sat. I will definitely do it again and if you get the chance, just do it. Where else can adults get an excuse to play in the mud.

56 minutes having to wait on my wife, cheaper than hiring a lawyer I thought I was going to need halfway through it. A lot of fun, will both do it again next year

49 mins here. Helped a chunky lady up the wall, didnt see the last strand of barbed wire after a crawl, the barbed wire won, and helped pull a non-swimmer to safety. My wife wants to run in the next one. I hope she can find some other ladies to run with or else I will probably need mavericks lawyer.
