He came to our mens breakfast at church and spoke and then spoke at church service a few Sundays ago. The man is rock solid for all that he has been through. The testimony he gives about his wife and all the things that happened before during and after her death is nothing short of amazing. He challenged us at men's prayer breakfast about really loving your wife and letting her know how much she means to you because like in his case you never know whats going to happen from one moment to the next. To hear him talk about wishing he could just hug his wife one last time will make you cry no matter how tough a man you are.

Coach Price told me that the guy is already back at parchman b/c he was out on parole at the time he committed this crime.

They assume he was there to rob them but unknown for sure. As to your second question that is the great unknown why could he not have turned around and fled. Coach price had a good philosophy on it...the guy was just another young man who had no father figure and no good influence on him. Much like 75% or more of the guys at parchman, no daddy so mama or grandmama raises them and the only male influence is found in gangs or some no count neighborhood male that does not have the young man's best interest at heart.
