Cerakoting Shotguns

What is your opinion on it (cerkote)...is it worth it, and are there any downsides to it, if any at all?

I saw that Mack's is offering what they term, "tactical shotguns" that are cerakoted around the metal parts and camo dipped on the stocks. They offer SX3, Maxus and SBEII. Guns look fantastic...just wondering about the advantages of the treatment and if there are any downsides.

Thanks

cerakote is one of the better coatings on the market. Walter Birdsong in Florence has a product called Black T. I think it is the gold standard. Several guys on here have had guns done with the black T.

Cerakote is a good option if you can find some one who will do it in reasonable time.
