Hurricane induced strange bird sightings

It always happens when these storms blow in. Today a frigatebird was seen on the Ross Barnett Reservoir. You usually never see these birds anywhere but out on the open ocean. I saw my first and only frigatebird while standing on Hwy 90 at Gulfport right after Katrina.

Watch for more misplaced birds as the storm passes.

Yes during katrina I lived on a 400 acre lake about an hour north of the coast. It filled up with all types of sea gulls and ocean birds . Quite the sight.

My black Bellied whistler chicks are still alive and with mama and daddy. I checked on them yesterday and will go back today

Thanks for a built-in excuse for not being able to shoot doves on opening day.
Seriously though, thanks for the info. It will make for some interesting sights this weekend.

I just wish some doves would be displaced, misplaced anything other than what is on our place!
