being a real man with humbleness
I went to a men's conference this past weekend and I was changed. I have always been raised in church and always went. I have 3kids now and we dont miss church. But that isn't good enough. God moved on me to do something that is hard for a man, and that's to admit to your family that were not super man. I had my wife and daughter come sat on front row with my boys and with the whole church listening I got down on my knees and ask my wife first to forgive me for not being the spiritual leader that God commanded men to be. Then I looked at my kids and did same to them, asking them to help daddy stay in line. Tell me to walk a little straighter. Men we must do more than provide food and shelter for families. We must fight off the devil and all his demons. He is out to distroy every family he can, and if he gets the family then he has the church. We as men must take a stand and pray with our families. Dads make sure your kids hear u pray. This world is in bad shape and we don't know how long we have, give them something they can take to there grave, and that's a love for Jesus and his truth. I pray for courage and power for each one of you. May you all have a blessed and prosperous life in Jesus.
There isn't a big demand for just GOOD OLE BOYS these days. Its time to stand up and be a real man.

Sounds like an awesome conference! Congrats to you for committing to your family to be the spiritual leader that you're called to be. It's a tough full time job. One that I'm working on myself. I'll again recommend "The Power of the Praying Husband" by Stormie Omartian. It is obviously written to help you know how to pray for your wife, but the principles laid out in it are just good Biblical principles that we can apply to any relationship. I think she has also written some books on being a praying parent. I plan to check that out right away.

Landscaper I have just finished the first chapter of The Power of the Praying Husband. Great read and really does a great job of explaining the wife's needs and thoughts. I also just watched the movie Couragous. Great movie and has kind of the same message happen in it as John stated that he has done for and with his family.
Congrats and I'll keep a prayer coming for you.
