Wow is all I can say! It sure is a shame the mallards don't still migrate down here like they did back then. Neat neat film, thanks for sharing!

i have hunted that pond a whole lot, and can count on one hand the # of mallards i have shot out of it. Funny how the duck make up has changed. That particular pond still has a lot of ducks, including a ton of canvasbacks. I noticed it looked like their decoys were a lot of cans. Last time i hunted that blind, i think i had 5 ringers and a can, but i like ringers!! Htrpat1, I am not sure what area you are trying to describe, but if you mean the basin and wax lake, that is East of there, and they don't have the french ducks like they did 10 years ago. maybe this year with the drought, fingers crossed. If you mean white lake, pecan island, freshwater city, slighty west of there, we still get a few, but not a lot. If you mean mud lake, lake charles, Johnson's bayou, again a few, but nothing like that. I will hunt all of those areas this year, i have one spot in mind that sometimes can shoot 16 mallards to a blind, but not real often, and almost never last year.
