Dodge American Farmer Commercial
Dodge American Farmer Commercial
Ok who is going to admit that they were moved by the Dodge commercial featuring the great Paul Harvey's stirring tribute to the American Farmer? Chrysler commissioned 10 noted photographers to capture real American farmers and the farming lifestyle in pictures. Thought the final image of the chicken houses was pretty cool because that image is so common in south central Mississippi.

I had heard that before, but I thought with the pictures it was very well produced. I'm also not a Dodge fan but the New Dodge's look pretty sharp

Re: Dodge American Farmer Commercial
thought it was a good ad......although I dont know many farmers that drive a Dodge
Re: Dodge American Farmer Commercial
Yes it was a dodge commercial,, but the main point was paying tribute to the farmer and how much they do in a given day,, Thank you farmers of America for feeding the world..

The main point was to sell some trucks. I was moved right up until the end when the Dodge truck popped up and I knew they were just trying to sell something using the American farmer.
Re: Dodge American Farmer Commercial
It was a good commercial regardless of how anyone feels about Dodge vehicles. It was clean and tasteful unlike some other commercials.

Dodge and Jeep (Chrystler) both had good ones. Seems Chrystler is getting back to the basics of advertising.

It felt like pandering to me. Maybe I'm just cynical.

Just another effort by a huge corporation to use an American icon to sell their product. I dont think Dodge cares any more about farmers than any other manufacturer who sells trucks or machinery. The goal of a good advertisement is to make you believe otherwise.

I prefer pandering to the makers instead of the takers any day.
Re: Dodge American Farmer Commercial
There is a report out that Dodge is donating $1 to the FFA every time the commercial is viewed online and that this commercial was done in partnership with the FFA. For all I know Dodge may not care about farmers but at least they did not use sex or some gang banging rapper to try to sell their trucks. It could have been a lot worse.augustus_65 wrote:Just another effort by a huge corporation to use an American icon to sell their product. Re: Dodge American Farmer Commercial
it was a good commercial, who gives a damn if they are trying to sell trucks or not? Most farmers in the mid west run Dodges. There are plenty of other places that farm other than the MS Delta and Arkansas.
