Has this been confirmed or is it just another conspiracy? I've heard DHS bought a ton of ammo, AR's, etc the past month or so then this morning I heard they bought a bunch of light-armour tanks.
Assuming it's true has anyone answered anything about this or confirmed that it is actually going on? Or does everyone knows it's going on but no one knows why because DHS hasn't given a reason??
I know it's been talked about all over the place but I just haven't seen anybody giving a reason behind it - as in anybody from the DHS or any other govt agency...

I haven't heard of the light armour tanks, that's a new one to me. I have read plenty on the ammo. The last batch of ammo I believe was only 450 million rounds. Keep in mind that adds the total to 1.6 billion rounds for the last nine months. DHS reasoning behind the purchase was training. They didn't buy FMG to train with they bought JHP. It sure makes you wonder.

Look at the link below regarding the tanks - they bought 2,700 light-armoured tanks - I'm no conspiracy nut but why would they need that?
How many rounds of ammo does the DHS normally buy per year is what I'd like to know - if it's normal to buy that many and they do it every year then it doesn't seem strange but if a normal year was 250 million rounds then all of a sudden it's 1.6 billion then it doesn't add up.

Border patrol has always used JHP. They qualify with JHP and carry JHP. I question my buddy who has been on border patrol for 15 years the other day about the mass order. He said there are 21,000 agents that have to qualify and it takes 300 rounds to qualify. That is 6,300,000 rounds.

They used to get handed boxes and boxes of .40 and .223 and reduced recoil law enforcement buckshot. They now hand them the rounds at the range for qualifying. There are no extra. He said they were lucky if the ended up with three or 4 left. He also said that after sequestering, he was taking a 30% paycut and and the underlings he supervised would be taking a 40% paycut and they would all have more days on furlough. His exact words were "the border is gonna be wide up even more now"

I talked to my buddy at Federal and he said every gov't agency from county SO's to the FBI are ramping up orders because they are scared they are going to get caught in the shortage we are experiencing now.

Very similar to what I have heard.

If there was any concern about ammo or tanks--fox news, and other right wing organizations would be asking the questions at every press conference. There has been nothing about this in the MSM. The border thing is scary however, if word gets out....they'll be flowing across the border.
We're on a downhill slide, fellas. That much I can assure you is true.

Those are not tanks, tanks have tracks and a large main gun.

Maybe they are making large purchases ahead of the sequester.

The reason they haven't been getting boxes of bullets is due to continuing resolutions. When you don't get but a week to a months worth of money at s time it's hard to predict what the next week will bring. You can thank our wonderful president for that.

We all know you worship the ground he walks on. You voted for him cause he promised you that you would have to work less. He just failed to mention that your pay would be cut all the while also. But that's alright, all the entitlement folks won't miss out on a thing.
