Laws on selling taxidermy

I was trying to find the rules on whether or not you can sell a taxidermy of certain species. My dad has a Pronghorn taxidermy that he was going to get rid of, and I was going to sell it, if it's legal. Does anyone know where I can find the rules on this? I don't want Wingman or one of his crew knocking on my door. I've found stuff on migratory birds, but nothing on big game. I assume it's legal since while looking this up, I found a website selling mounts.

SEC. 49-7-51. Sale of game birds, animals or fish.
(1) It is unlawful for any person to buy or sell or to offer for sale, exchange for merchandise, or other consideration, within this state, any game birds, game animals, or game fish, or parts thereof, named in this chapter, whether taken within or coming from without the state, except as specifically permitted by law or regulation. However, the skins and sinew of deer and products crafted, fashioned or made from deer antlers not in velvet may be bought and sold at any time in accordance with rules and regulations promulgated by the Commission on Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. A violation of this subsection is a Class I violation and is punishable as provided in Section 49-7-141.
(2) Any person who buys, sells, offers for sale, exchange for merchandise, or other consideration, any wild bird, wild animal or fish that has been taken illegally is guilty of a Class I violation and punished as provided in Section 49-7-141.

You can sell a Pronghorn because it is not indigenous to the state of Mississippi. That is not considered a game animal here....its like a red stag they will are classified as livestock.

I would suggest calling 601-432-2400. Not trying to be smart, but coming on here asking legal questions may not always get you the correct answer.
I'm not saying Johnny's wrong, just saying call.

The way I read it, and I could be reading it wrong, is that it is ok to sale a mount being that it is a product developed from the skin and antler. Kinda like knifes with antler handle or antler chandelers.

Hmmm. I'll have to call and ask. I wonder if that falls under the part for animals from the state.

So if a fella takes a couple of ducks to The Waterfowler to get some mounts done, then never pays for them or picks them up, the taxidermist has to give them away or throw them in the trash? Can't sell them to recoup his expenses?
Too many darn laws and regulations in this country. And it chaps my booty that law enforcement will spend our tax dollars trying to thwart these "criminals" while drug dealers and thieves are walking the street. When was the last time you heard "Jackson would be a nice place to live if they could just get these people selling mounted fish and game under control"???
Please pardon my language.

Nope, he CANNOT sell them. Doesn't happen often, but he's given several away like that.

You can't sell any part of migratory birds. Feathers, meat, etc...

That's why most folks charge a deposit.
And which other laws should we stop enforcing until we get drugs under control? I caught a guy fishing once without a license. He said, "Man why don't y'all catch the real criminals?"

Exactly. Some say we should stop enforcing drug crimes and focus on "real" crimes.
Most laws are made for good reason. If we didn't have laws to prohibit the sale of waterfowl, it would encourage people to kill solely to make a profit.
