I have a friend that owes me a few favors and can get me a good deal on the 3" 1 1/8oz #2s @ 1550FPS. Any of yall shot the stuff in the 3" or 3.5"??? I am extremely low on shells and was looking at getting several cases. Was trying to decide between these, Win. Xperts, and Fed. Blue Box?

I've shot the Rios before. Decent shell especially for the price. They may not shoot as clean as some of the expensive shells but I didn't have any trouble out of the couple cases I shot.

1 1/8 shot is just a heavy dove load. Do they make them any heavier? Seems light.

Decent shells but here is what I don't like about them... They shoot dirty, I had lots of shells look like I killed the duck with a slug in the breast literally. I'm not sure if the wad didn't open right or what. Had this happen a lot with the 5 cases I shot this year. And they always shot a very tight patteren in my gun. I sold the other 5 cases to a friend cause I didn't like them. Had a friend sell me 10 cases at wholesale price is why I had so many.

They make a 11/4 or 13/8load At 1250 fps I think. All I've shot for the past 3 yrs. I also like the short range pigeon load for doves. Not only is the price right but they shoot well in my original Extrema. Not had any problems with them shooting dirty. Not even sure what that means

I've had better luck with them than most anything else I've shot in last few years.

The times I've shot it (1.25 ounce) I was pleased.

Same here. Extremely tight pattern with the 3 1/2 inch #3 in 1550 fps. Seems the higher speed loads tended to stay in the wad longer. After figuring that out, I shot a speckle belly at 110 yds with an IC choke (couldnt do that again in 100 years) and it looked like I had shot him in the head with a slug. The lower speed stuff seemed to pattern much better though, and I'll be using them again this year.

I have shot six or seven cases of Rio steel over the last couple of seasons and have been pleased with them.

Like the Rio shells. Have not shot the particular shell in question, but really liked the ones we shot. I agree they did pattern a bit tight.

i shot them last year & was pleased. i experienced dirty shooting as well, but overall, they are fine, especially considering price. as biggie said, the blue hulls flare the gads, but attract the redheads & blackjacks so it's a wash i rekon.
