LSU v MSU Prediction Thread (Corndogs v. Grinders)

My head tells me that LSU comes out and wins this game by two TDs, with it being tight until around the late 3rd quarter. My gut tells me that State is due to beat LSU (hasn't happened in 13 years) and with Prescott getting a majority of the snaps, they will score points on LSU...enough to win.

Gonna go with my head right now and say 31-21 LSU.

The past couple of years I have thought State was due a win over LSU but it has not happened. LSU by 14 as long as they put the Georgia game behind them and move on. Mettenberger still playing well and the defense will make needed adjustments. Also I predict LSU to beat Bama.

State starts Russell, wastes 3 drives figuring out he ain't worth a damn, mean while LSU takes a 17-0 advantage early in the second quarter. With State going three and out twice in the first quarter, their defense is overrun and tired. Prescott comes in to try and make chicken salad out of chicken $#!+ to no avail, however is able to put a few points on the board. LSU runs away with it 49-10. This will be the scenario if Russell starts.

If Prescott starts it may be a little more competitive, but not a whole lot. He can put together a few more drives and get a couple of extra first downs with his legs, which if nothing else lets our defense rest some. If he starts I think we might can keep it somewhat reasonable into halftime, but our coaches never adjust to anything, so again, LSU runs away with it. This time say 42-17, with one less score for the tigers, and one more for the dogs. Either way, it won't be good for us.

Tyler will come out with a chip on his shoulder and looking to prove some people wrong after not being able to play the past 3 games. I still see Dak playing a lot, trying to keep LSWho off balance. It'll be a close game I think.

IF Tyler starts, the only thing I see him proving is that Dak is our best option. I pray we dont waste 3 series' figuring this out...

Haha me too!! However, this is highly unlikely. My bet is that he gets another "concussion" before the game is over.

I'm sure this guy is a great person and would thrive in another teams system, but MSU just isn't and likely never will be a drop back and pass team. We need better lineman and a more dominant stable of running backs for that to happen. Perkins is a great player, but he is not a between the tackles runner.

LSU 31 MSU 16

May be as close as 17-10 or 24-13 in 3rd quarter....but LSU pulls away. We kick 3 or 4 FGs because we can not stick it in the end zone once we get down the field.

With the way Devon Bell's been kicking lately, I'd rather just go for it on 4th.
