Help with the feeder call
So I've got my basic quack and my come back call down pretty good... Always need improving but I feel like I'm ready to move onto a feeder call. I've been watching YouTube like crazy on how to do the feeder... I've heard people say tick tick/ da da da/ took took/ a bunch of stuff... Do anyone have any good way to do a feeder call for a beginner that's easy to pick up on? Let me know thanks

Yep.....IMHO the tica, tica machine gun call is just to try and impress buddies and for competition.Denduke wrote:I may be wrong but the tica, tica they do overhead they don 't do on da water. More of jabber, short stuff.

Re: Help with the feeder call
Ticka ticka (rolling feed call) is fine, pecking feed call is better IMO, but is more difficult

Re: Help with the feeder call
Buck Gardner has a really good CD that I have that breaks each call down to the very basics and is good for beginners. It's the one I used to learn... But I still would consider myself a beginner. Let me know if you would like it. I have it downloaded to my computer and could mail you the CD.
Re: Help with the feeder call
Do you know about the best trick in da book? That is to paint at least one decoy solid white w/yellow bill. Kinda like the park duck strategy card. Really pulls in da migrators from the ionosphere. Need to hide it at boat launches though.

Re: Help with the feeder call
There are diff styles of feed calls but the one most people use is actually overhead chatter.
