Heavy Metal question
Does anyone shoot the Heavy Metal duck loads? Thinking about trying them. I'm just not sold on the 2 different types of shot in each shell. Need some opinions.

3"#2 with a patternmaster extended range puts a whooping on them. I don't shoot it all of the time but when I do that is my choice!

3 inch #2 and #3 with a kicks high flyer modified choke has performed great for us the last few seasons.

3 1/2 #3s are deadly to 65 yards. Modified choke. The shot from Hevimetal doesn't tear the meat up like Blindsides do. Blindsides stone the birds as well but pre tenderize if they are in close.GreenheadJim wrote:What do you shoot?nipntuck wrote:deadly

for exmaple you could kill a 4 greenheads (two banded), a mallard/black cross, and a mallard/gaddy cross and smash a hot blonde on the way back to the ramp and call it a hell of a day

What medic11 said +100....watched my father in law knock some down last year WAY beyond what I would ever shoot at.....I was quite impressed. He was shooting a Browning Maxus (sp?)
My Silver still likes the black cloud and DC choke combo....so gonna wait til I shoot up my last 4 boxes before I try these.

Re: Heavy Metal question
Your standard steel shot is deadly to 75 yds. Just a waste of money I say.

I'll second this. Hands down the best available load!champcaller wrote:Best all around load out there IMO.
I just can't justify paying twice as much for a box of shells.
