It is the season in the off-season....that is recruiting. Why don't we have a concentrated place for us to post on recruiting commitments, de-commitments, rumors, rumors of rumors, etc.

I'll start...

LSU received a commitment yesterday from Clifton Garrett, 5 Star LB from Illinois that was also recruited heavily by Ole Miss.

Rumors...

I was told recently by someone close to Ole Miss that they feel as though they have a good shot at flipping Bo Scarbrough, 5 Star Alabama running back commitment.

I heard a rumor that LSU is pressing Ole Miss commit Breeland Speaks (3 Star LB/DT) to flip.

Hootie Jones just decommitted from Bama.

I wouldn't think there is anyway Bama could get Fournette and Scarborough.

If Bama pulls Fournette out of Louisiana, after LSU intentionally did not take a running back in their last class in order to entice him to Baton Rouge, Les Miles should be fired on the spot.

How many commitments is Ole Miss going to take this year? I think they already have 24 committed. While a moving number, the conference limit is supposed to be 25.

rebs have 5 to count back i do believe. just filled 3 spots today. so we could have 30 total. although i don't see us taking more than 28 or 29 total


edited: we signed 5 guys so far. liggins (finally made scores), morris, russell, cooper, and i think kendrick doss was the 5th one.

if in fact cj does sign and enroll he will count as part of the 25

I think people (including a Bama commit) are now thinking Hootie Jones to LSU. It is also being reported that one of the other Monroe, LA area Bama commits will not academically qualify.

Ole Miss folks, are you going to hold on to CJ Hampton or is he going to flip to Bama?

no one knows; from both sides. just a guessing game at this point. i think rebs hold on to him but that just a gut feeling. everyone with "sources" from respective sides think they are getting him. someones being fooled. which side is it? idk. i know we have won our fair share or recruiting battles with bama lately, it's time for them to win a few.

Have not had a chance to look at it but a friend was telling me Tennessee had like 34 commitments. Anybody know if that is true if so how many spots do they have? Also don't see Bama landing both those backs if they even get one.

I see Fournette staying in state, hopefully along with speedy Noil, Gerald Willis, and Malachi Dupre

With Henry, Tinpenny, Yeldon and Drake already in the backfield, I see no reason for any back to be coming to Bama no matter how hard they are recruited.

^^^ Fournette could step in and compete with them, but he'll get more touched at LSU even as part of a 2-3 back rotation with Magee and Hilliard

it appears at this point cj hampton will be a rebel.

OM also picked up a commit from Louisiana DT prospect McDowell. He will be very good. Hate he left the state.

Ronald walker for Ole Miss will go JUCO and another kid is grey shirting. So add 2 more to our total.
