What did everyone hear today? I went to different places and didn't hear or see anything. I have been seeing and hearing turkeys in all these spots, but not today.

Heard 8 or 10 turkeys in north attala this morning..... Called one up for my buddy that's never killed one....turkey came in silent the last 60 yards and he couldn't get a shot at 20 yards due to the briars(we were sittin on the side of a logging road)..... Turkey eased off and we just left.... Walked back to the truck and I hooted..GOOOOBBBLLLLEEEE!... Walked 50 yards in the woods and set up.... Called him up and could hear him drumming... Buddy had a bead on him waiting for the turkey to come in the clearing and I couldn't see him..... I clucked a couple times and he took a hard left straight my way(I was set up off to his right in case the turkey tried to come around)..... He ran his neck up to check things out and I soaked his head... Me and my buddy had agreed for me to take a shot if I needed to and I felt that since the bird knew where I was since I called, I had better go ahead and take him.... He was pumped about it but I would much rather him killed it than me....
