If you wanted to see where a non-profit organization spent it funds does it have to provide it to you or the public if requested.

Yes, if I parents pay dues to an organization do they have the right to view how those dues/fees are spent?

I think all you'd need to do is ask the treasurer for the info you'd like to have. Have you requested the info and been denied?

Yes PEEWEE, everything done within a non-profit has to be disclosed to the public, from what I've been told. That's why they are not the best business idea because you open yourself up to all kinds of scrutiny. One day you happy go lucky, next day you one the front cover of the Daily Times. But then I guess if you are on the up and up, you don't have to worry no matter who comes nosing around.

only thing i've ever heard non-public is some types of data and even that goes public once the non-profit dissolves/expires.
