Poor fella didn't die fast enough.

I'd say he got what was coming to him...

"A four-time felon, Lockett was convicted of shooting 19-year-old Stephanie Neiman with a sawed-off shotgun and watching as two accomplices buried her alive in rural Kay County in 1999 after Neiman and a friend arrived at a home the men were robbing."

I cannot for the life of me figure out why it is so dadgum difficult to execute someone quickly and painlessly. Don't people OD everyday on sleeping pills????????????????? How expensive can a gallows be? A few 4x4 posts, couple steel guiderails, blade, rope, and pulley. Firing squad.

Exactly. There are any number of drugs that could be used. Challenging the drug used is typically just the final arrow in the quiver of opponents of the death penalty after the merit based legal challenges have failed.

if they started having public hangings/executions at the courthouse like they did in days gone by, I believe it would deter the rate of capital crimes today...

A botched execution that used a new drug combination left an Oklahoma inmate writhing and clenching his teeth on the gurney Tuesday, leading prison officials to halt the proceedings before the inmate's eventual death from a heart attack.
Translation of the conversation that happened during the execution:
"Wait! He's only half dead. Don't give him more to actually finish the job. Go ask someone in charge what we should do while he gets his just deserves".
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)
"Most Chesapeakes, unless in agreement that it is his idea, will continually question the validity of what he is being asked to do" - Butch Goodwin

Hey, at least they didn't rape him repeatedly, shoot him in the face, and bury him alive. That POS got better than he deserved.

Sorry, I'm still working on that "unconditional love" thing. Not there yet.
Never assume.

only bad thing i can see is it didn't last long enough for the murdering rapist to really suffer. wish he'd have bitten his tongue off while the "BEARDED CLAM" was clenching his teeth.
