Ol Johnny has left the Bayou Classic...it was a good 12 year run for me and I enjoyed it..I gave been ready for a change and just need a push to help me out the door..not quite sure what that change will be yet. When one door closes another one opens...praying hard for The Lord to show me that door.

Keep me in mind if you know of something or are looking...I got resumes ready to go

I'm of the opinion that life is too short to miss out on what you may REALLY need to do in life. I too just needed a push and quit my job back in 2003 without the certainty of a regular paycheck.

I was happy and certain that God would find a way for me. He did and since then I have seen that God always provides a way for me.

That path was short lived. I only made it about five years, but God has not abandoned me and I am now doing something I would have never dreamed were possible.

My story is similar to Wildfowler's it occurred in late 2011 and thinngs have been great since then. I told God to find me a new job for a few years and well, he didn't. I realized I needed to ask him if I was where I needed to be so I began to do so. He quickly and repeatedly (because I'm a little slow) gave me the answer. I left my employment of 15 years with no job to go to, but knowing full well that it was doing what I was supposed to do. I must say that being 100% sure you have the answer to a prayer is an awesome feeling, regardless of how scary the path may be.

He found me new employment somewhere I would have never imagined. I have been blessed and able to bless others many times in the last two and a half years. It's been pretty amazing. Ask the big guy and then listen, he won't steer ya wrong. I'll be praying that you find what he has in mind for ya.
