Looking for a place to put in on a certain river..... Willing to pay a launch fee..... Not sure if it's against policy naming the river so I won't.... Like to catfish but when the public ramps aren't clean, it makes for a difficult launch to take the wife fishin! Inbox me if you may can help....

I think you're safe on naming the river bud.......
That being said, I am getting my boat ready and loaded up with 18 of my closest friends to drive straight to whatever public catfishing spot you are about to name.

Clarify
......and IMO, even though it's 'public' - and pertains to fishing......what ruins solitude quicker than anything (regardless of the number of folks using it) is one group that demonstrates inconsideration for others or the outdoors. So, when sharing information about any place I regard, I generally do so only with those with tolerable (@ best) character. Nothing like getting to a ramp that has twice as many vehicles (& trailers) as it's capacity. Folks generally don't take their own garbage home either. If the can is full - garbage gets left there & scattered. The more folks - the more garbage.

To clarify, for example, the public ramp for the yazoo at belzoni..... It gets pushed off when the water is up, but after the river drops, there's always a big mud hump where they cleaned the ramp with a road grader..... Of course I'm an hour away, and it sucks having to drive over and find the ramp in bad shape.... It always gets cleaned off around 4th of July weekend.....Anybody can put in at greenwood, but I don't like to.... What I was looking for is a place on either the tallahatchie or yazoo (private ramp) that I could put in at and possibly pay a launch fee..... Where we use to put in at a spot, it was purchased by someone I don't know, so I can't ask to put in.....

I cleaned what I could last Sunday afternoon. River has dropped about 4 feet since. I'm already planning to get the rest tomorrow morning. Sometimes it takes three trips to get it all because the water has to drop to get a little more each time. The ramp is so long and steep, you can't get it all until the river drops to 11-12 feet. So it's get a little at a time or wait until summer. To my knowledge it has never been cleaned with a road grader. Usually a trackhoe or bobcat.
The boat ramp crew usually gets it when they can but I try to get it when they can't. They told me it is the worst ramp in the state.

I believe it! Wingman I talked to you last year around July 4th and I believe you said you had cleaned it... I know it was fine when I went and you seen me there.... Not trying to be an booty, it just looked like it gets pushed off.... I agree, the lower the river is, the better you can get it clean.... Maybe we'll catch a few.... Plan on going in the morning!

And coming in at a close second for worst ramp would probably be the BRAND NEW Highway 7 ramp above Sardis on the Tallahatchie river. It was built on the wrong side of the river.

The Yalabusha River ramp at Malmaison is always fun to try to get a boat launched.

Took three hours last week to clean almost all of the ramp. Took 4 hours today to clean the last 20 feet. Major silt tonnage.

Thanks! You gotta do a good job when three boatloads of Attala County country boys are breathing down your neck.

I always thought a good ramp to get at catfish needed to be a little rough. Kinda one of those "Honey we're getting close....I can smell it!" Jorts are the members only common attire topped off with a trucker hat.
