Did you ever get a blind for 'Miss Driveway'?

Raffia may be the answer to toting a decoy bag full of natural grass (and recycled cane) everywhere you go, all season.

I was in WM after Donia put this up and I forgot to look for it. I must add raffia on my next 'list'.

Ah yes, the S.S. Driveway. This year, I'm gonna do my best to hunt a little more and work a little less. The blind frame is coming together. I'm using the muddy water camo timber fabric on it.

FYI, the Albanian WalMarks don't carry raffia, I learned. Gotta look elsewhere.

Can you post pictures of the muddy water timber pattern in a big sheet? If not send me a pic please. I was wanting to use this but didn't know where to get, how much, or how the big sheet would look. Thanks

What kind of blind frame are you using? If I hadn't invested so much time in my 'trapeeze'.....I would be seriously thinking about a MudBuddy or Beavertail-style frame for the mud rig.

We HAD actually talked about getting another mud rig with MudBuddy fastgrass blind for use in different terrain. Maybe one day.

JMH, I'll shoot you a pic tomorrow and post. I called them direct and ordered a couple 18' rolls. The stuff is waterproof. I'm hoping it makes a good blind.

I think you'll be happy with that style blind - quick and easy set-up - relatively few steps.

I've experimented with the conduit and internal/external Bimini fittings and it's not too bad. In fact, That gives me an idea about leaving the current blind on the boat (in M.O. Buckbrush) and having a removeable collapseable frame (like yours) with fastgrass sheets - to use when I know we're going to be hunting in terrain where there's saw grass.

So many possibilities.

I'd like to see your blind frame when it's done. There's not a good way to put a rain roof on my design (without 13 more sequential steps and more tubing...i.e. - TIME).

there's a pic of it used on beavertail boat blind on one of the first posts...granted, it was taken inside (shop) and not outdoors with natural lighting/background.

Yeah, I called and asked about that. It has something to do with the edges (notice there's a rough 1" white unprinted border) and the way the template was sized. It looks good at distance. So those ducks better not care, either.
