Need a pallet to patch in a job in Brandon/Pearl area. Any sod farms I'm missing? Nearest guy I can find is an hour away.
Thanks for any leads!

I just put a pallet down in my front yard. Fingers cross it really does like deep shade.

I was always under the same impression, but found out differently the hard way! I laid pallets 3 pallets (2 in shade, 1 in partial shade). The two in mostly shade didn't make it. I called Southern to ask what went wrong & was told that not all st is shade tolerant.
Certain varieties perform be yet than others.

Correct. If its very shady, St. Augustine will not grow. It still needs a few hours of sun a day. You can plant it directly under a big shady oak and expect it to live.

no grass expert, maybe there is different strains or types? idk, but it does really well in the back yard (mostly shade) and not to hot in front (stays in sun)

Did you check Lakeland yard and garden? The little place behind there sells it by the pallets. Comes from oasis sod farms

My St. Aug sod is hanging in so far except for one little corner that gets very little sun. I may just astro-turf that shop and quit worrying about it.
